Schedules for all times and activities for each class are available from your child’s classroom teachers. Dress your cowboy or cowgirl in Western Clothes, a “bang up” time is planned for all.
Western Day lasts from 9 to 11 (all classes will return to their classrooms for lunch).

February 10 – Ash Wednesday Service – The beginning of Lent.
A letter will be sent home explaining Ash Wednesday and also, you will receive a permission slip to sign for your child to receive the dispensation of ashes. We invite all parents and family to attend this beautiful Chapel Service, 10 a.m.
February 11 – Kindergarten Open House- 6:30 pm.
We are inviting all parents who will have Kindergarten age children to come by our Kindergarten Classroom and meet our Texas Certified Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Shelly Courts. Our kindergarten is aligned with both Conroe and Montgomery ISD. Each child is met with their level and encouraged to move forward. Our program has a Christian balanced curriculum of: Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies, with emphasis on age appropriate developmental activities. In addition, we offer art, music, physical education and Spanish.
If your child has a late summer birthday or just may not be ready for a large public school classroom, consider enrolling them in our excellent Kindergarten.

January 18 — MARTIN LUTHER KING HOLIDAY – NO SCHOOL
January 27 — Snow Day – a unique tradition here at St. James School. The children use our Snow Discs and slide down one of our “snow” packed hills: before returning to class they enjoy a treat of Hot Chocolate and cookies. Each age group will have a scheduled time, they will be posted later in the month. Hope you will be able to attend and join in the fun.
December 7th – Santa’s Workshop – 8:50 to 12 noon
Santa’s Workshop will be in the Parish Hall. All classes have designated times to be in the Parish Hall making their “presents”, visiting with Mrs. Claus and St. Nicholas, and having cookies and songs.

Need as many parents volunteers as possible to help with the craft making during the morning. If you cannot stay for the entire morning, please come during the scheduled time for your child’s class and help him or her with their crafts.
December 17th – Christmas Pageant – 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Church
Come celebrate our beautiful pageant, based on the reading of the Birth of Jesus as found in Luke. The children will act out the story and sing the traditional hymns of Christmas, as well as singing other songs of the season.
We encourage you to invite your friends and family. Our pageant has a way to open our hearts to the “Season of Christmas”.

Brenda Rice, Teacher
Brenda has over 10 years early childhood teaching experience and has been with St. James for five years! While serving her at St. James, Brenda has taught in all ages and as been our lead teacher for our Tiny Tots and Infants. She is also our Spanish teacher and enjoys sharing her native culture with our children. Brenda has been married for 14 years and has two children.
Robin Hill, Teacher
Robin began her career with St. James over twenty years ago, and has been the lead Beginners class teacher for the past 7 years. Some of Mrs. Robin’s students are the children of her prior students! Mrs. Robin has earned the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She has been married for thirty plus years and has two daughters.
